Our Mum & Grandma.
Our Mum, Linda Geary passed away peacefully after a short, but brave battle against Leukaemia (AML). She initially spent a month in Basildon Hospital, then a further two months with St Luke’s Hospice at Basildon & Thurrock. The professionalism, warmth and compassion shown by all the staff at St Luke’s, towards not only our mum, but our family and army of loyal visitors was truly humbling. We can’t thank them enough.
Prior to the last part of our Mum’s life, she lived life to the fullest. Making the most of every opportunity and adventure. She was always so generous & thoughtful, laughing & smiling.
Whether you knew her from Scouting, W.I., Townswomen’s Guild, U3A, or simply Rose’s cafe. As a colleague, a neighbour or you just had the good fortune to befriend her. We would like to thank you all for being part of her journey.

Our families often shared happy times together. I have such fond memories of camping in the cubs with Ma Geary leading the pack.

Well there is no getting away from the strength shown by Ma Geary in her final challenge in this world. Strong and determined until the end with an added splash of humour. Always ready to smile and share a joke or take the mickey never changed.
Always ready to put others first for years and I am only fortunate to have spent time in her company when I was round the Geary's with my brother from another mother Stephen.
A fantastic family and friends of our family we were always in each others company.
She will be missed but we know that she will be happy by Micks side looking down on her family with a big happy proud smile.
